I have passion for dentistry and put all my knowledge and love into every patient I treat. Dentistry provides me with the amazing opportunity to change people’s lives by improving their health and smiles. During these past 21 years, it has been my pleasure to help people live happier lives with healthier, more beautiful smiles. I am driven to provide excellent dental care to every patient and treat everyone like they were my own family.
I am originally from Colombia and began practicing dentistry in 1996 after receiving my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Autonoma University in Colombia. I went back to school when I moved to the United States at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital, where I did one year of general dentistry residency and a one-year fellowship in advanced prosthodontics.
I am an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. It was my honor to have been chosen as one of America’s Top Dentists by Northern Virginia Magazine and the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
I am also part of the Millennium and Spear Study Clubs, which are comprised of the top dentists, endodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons in Northern Virginia. Through these study clubs, as well as my participation with Invisalign® and Biomet 3I/Zimmer, I am able to stay on top of emerging science in the field of dentistry. I thrive on continuing education and bring the most up-to-date dental technology and newest proven techniques to my practice, guaranteeing that my patients receive the best treatment with the best quality.
In Colombia, I grew up in Pereira, a small city in the coffee region. I have now lived in Virginia for ten years. My husband and I have five kids between us; I have one daughter and he has four. We also have a dog named Molly. My time outside the office is spent with my kids, going to their games, and traveling. I love dancing, good wine, and fine restaurants!
